My Capri obsession started at the age of about 19 when I was at College and a friend of mine (Steve) bought a D reg 1.6 Laser, at the time I had only ever took notice of Del Boy's Cap-ri Ghia so of course I took the Mick out of Steve's new Capri, and it wasn't till I got in the thing several weeks later that it started to grow on me.

About a year later he decided to sell the Capri to buy a Volkswagen Beetle!!! Of all things. He offered me the car for about £800 and I thought about it for several weeks, but when I next saw him he said that he had sold it for £500!!! I told him I would have snapped his hand off at that price but it was too late. A few months passed and I started itching for a Capri of my own and decided to start looking, dozens of over priced rust buckets later and about a year or so I turned up at my parents house to find a sparkling pearlecent white 2.8 injection sat on the drive, bought for me by my parents as a 21st birthday present and that’s where it all started.

Now nearly eight years on and another five Capri's the obsession is getting worse
